36 weeek!

36 weeks today! I grew an inch in circumfrance this past week---47 inches around! Ugh!! This bump is getting ridiculously large!

9 days til these girls come! Secretly (or not so secretly) hoping they make an earlier appearance though!

Here's what babygaga has to say about 36 weeks.

Weekly Appointment

I had an appointment this past Tuesday--I'm a bit late posting. Anyway, still no cervical changes. We scheduled the C-section (they are both still breech) for the morning of November 9th. The countdown truly begins. I've never heard of anyone having to schedule a twin delivery. Usually they come early but apparently my girls want to camp out. The doctor estimates that we will be having 7 lb babies.

I have a grown scan next Thursday to get another weight estimate. I'm very curious!

Unfortunately, my doctor will be out of town. She had the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to India. My C-section will be with a different doctor. It was hard to pick a different doctor but after visiting with my OB we made a decision. It's a man that apparently has no bedside manner but is a fabulous surgeon. I would rather have skill than warm and fuzzy.

I have also decided to officially make this week my last week of work. I'm exhausted and want a week to rest and relax before the big day. Still can't believe I worked up to 36 weeks with twins!!! I'm ready for a break.

Belly pic coming on Saturday....

35 Weeks

Excuse the rash. Some of that is stretchmarks but most of it is rash. Ugh. Well, another 1/2 inch growth this week for a grand totaly of 46 inches around! Just when I think it can't possibly stretch anymore...IT DOES!!

It is heads, butts, and limbs galore. These girls are constantly moving!

3 weeks left--MAX!

Weekly Appointment

My weekly appointment was last Thursday. It's just taking me a couple days to get around to updating. Everything still looks perfect with no signs of labor happening soon. My doctor is going to schedule the C-section for the 2nd week in November which would make the girls 37+ weeks. My doctor will be out of town so I have to schedule with another doctor in her office. I will discuss and finalize at my appointment on Tuesday.

I am making my last day of work October 30th. Working full-time is just getting to be too much! It'll be nice to be at home and watch movies and read books and just relax before Addison and Olivia make their grand appearance.

The anticipation of seeing their little faces is KILLING ME!!!

Will post weekly pic and measurement later today or tomorrow.

34 Weeks!

45 1/2 inches. It's just crazy how it can keep stretching and stretching and stretching. My ribs have really started to hurt in the past week and breathing is definitely a chore. I've gotten PUPPPS which is a rash that effects 1% of pregnant women and is fairly common in women carrying multiples. It's all over my belly and itches like a son of B***ch! There's nothing we can do to make it go away, except deliver these girls. So, it's just symptom control--Benadryl and hydrocortizone cream.

My mom came up on Wednesday night and has been cooking meals every night and cooking meals to freeze. It's been amazing to have her around and has really relieved a ton of stress. She's been loading and unloading the dishwasher. She started laundry. She's been making my bed. It's been great!!!!

Here's what babygaga has to say at 34 weeks. This link actually talks a bit about PUPPPS.

The countdown continues....

Weekly Appointment + Growth Scan

Well, Olivia is weighing in at 5.5 pounds which is the 96th percentile and Addison is weighing in at 6 lbs which is the 99th percentile. It is official--I'm growing FATTIES!! Doctor is very pleased. Things are getting rough...I know I've said that before and then it gets tougher. I have extreme rib pain from the uterus pushing up against my ribs and I'm not sleeping AT ALL (6 hours in the last 2 nights= not good). Doctor gave me some Ambien and made me promise to take it. She said we have to go at least another 2 weeks but has promised to C-section (breech) these babies before November 5th. Cervix is still unchanged so no signs of labor anytime soon.

My mom is coming up tonight which will be a huge help just to have her here for support but also to do some grocery shopping and make some dinners. I'm still working so when I get home I'm toast!

The countdown truly begins......

33 Weeks!

Here is my 33 week pic---45 inches. Doesn't look like I've grown much but I have. It seems to growing on the sides so I'm looking less like a basketball. I've gained an inch around in a week.

I don't really have any other updates except that I am truly ready to be done! I have developed a rash all over my belly. Not sure if it's a reaction from the amoxicillin (sinus infection) or if it's a pregnancy rash referred to as PUPPS which only affects 1% of pregnant woman but is common in multiples. I feel like I could just scratch and scratch and scratch!!!!

Babygaga's words of wisdom at 33 weeks.

More Professional Photos

Weekly Appointment with Doctor

Well, everything still looks great. Doctor stated once again that she'd be shocked if I delivered before 35 weeks. YIPPEE! Here's the big shocker though.......Olivia has flipped around. She is now heads down. However, she will be the second one out so we really don't care what position she is in. I still have to get a C-Section. But, if Olivia can do it, Addison can too!! So, GO ADDY GO!!! I figure maybe she'll get sick of looking at her sister's rear and decide to turn around. Ha!

Growth ultrasound next week to see how fat my little girls are!

Professional Maternity Photos

Here are a few of the maternity photos we got done. The photographer just sent a few over as a sneak preview of what's to come. So far, we are very impressed and glad we did them. As most of you know, I hate to spend money. But, I'm definitely thinking this was money well spent. Will post more when we get the rest of them!

32 Weeks

44 inches----the red you see is actually a scratch from my cat. The stretchmarks are in the front and can't be seen very well with a profile shot. Still fighting a head cold so I spent all day yesterday sleeping and have spent most of today on the couch.

Speaking of...the couch is now calling my name.

Here's what babygaga has to say about 32 weeks.

Doctor's Appointment

Had my weekly checkup today. Doctor says everything looks great and thinks we will go to at least 36 weeks! She said we will "bail" between 36 and 38 weeks. WAHOO! As ready as I am to be done, the longer they cook the better. No NICU would be a beautiful thing. It would be so nice to leave the hospital with our baby girls in our arms. Doctor gave the ok to keep working out and keep working (although the working out has pretty much stopped).

Girls are both still breech. I am slowly coming to terms with this whole C-Section idea. I'm seeing lots of pros in it. Do you suppose they'll do a tummy tuck at the same time? Ha! I suppose not.
