Great Grandma's Request

Here's a picture of both the girls together. Doesn't seem to be many of those. I took it on my phone so it's not the best quality. It only took 20+ tries to get them both looking at me and both somewhat smiling.

The Kia Saga

About 6 months ago our Kia decided to poop out. We were quoted about $1000 for a new engine which we promptly decided was not worth it. However, my darling brother (Darren) found an engine (with only 19,000 miles on it) for $350 and installed it. Voila! Near new car. Oh, but bear in mind the car only had 60,000 miles on it anyway.

Well, Monday, the car broke down again. Darren came and looked at it. Lo and behold, the damn engine is bad AGAIN!! What the h**l!

It now appears we are in the market for a new used car. We have decided on a late 90s Honda Civic. Zac went and looked at one last night that I'm fairly certain we are going to buy. We're going tonight to look again and probably purchase. It's got new tires, new timing belt and is immaculately clean (always hard to come by in a car this age). It also only has 110,000 miles which I'm told by most that this is "just breaking in a Honda".

On that note, I have an immobile Kia for sale (and 2 dead engines). Buy 1 get 1 free special!!

Here are pics of our probable car:

Can you believe it!?!? My baby girls are 3 months old today. They are growing so fast. Olivia has found her voice and loves to giggle, coo, squeal, and grin. Addison will smile and smile and smile some more but rarely makes any noises. Both are so close to holding their heads up with perfection. Most of the time they do excellent but at times get "floppy". Girls have outgrown most of their 0-3 month clothes and are well into 3-6 month clothes. The 3-6 monthers are not going to last long because the girls are sooo tall, especially Olivia. There's no room for length growth in the 3-6 month outfits.

Girls are sleeping consistently from 9:30 until 5:30 (insert Hallelujia here). But, as I'm typing this, it's 6:45 and both girls are still sleeping!!! (insert 2 Halleluias here)

Addison has a cold: sniffles, crusty nose, runny nose. She's been a bit cranky lately but still not bad. My daycare lady always comments that my babies are the most even tempered babies she's ever seen. She said even Addison with a cold is like her babies were every day. I don't know if they are so even tempered because of temperment or because they know what to expect in their day. I think it's probably a bit of both. I attribute most of it to this babywise method of scheduling that we have done. It has literally saved my life and my job as a mom of twins "easy". They rarely cry and spend most of their time just smiling.

Well, I better finish getting ready for work. Today is the completion of week 1 and we all survived!

This is so funny! Two little sets of eyes going back and forth and following mom. Cracks me up!

The girls love their rattles. They don't shake them yet but they LOVE to hold onto them. Sometimes they bonk themselves in the head though because they have no spacial relations and forget they are holding them. One of the rattles is in the shape of a telephone. Way to start them early!! We always call that rattle their "tele".
